Northrop Grumman has an immediate need for an Information Technology (IT) Director leading information technology and the CIO team supporting Northrop Grumman's businesses in the EMEA Region (Europe, Middle East and Africa). You will be responsible and accountable to lead IT, program security, and service delivery in partnership with CIO Service Lines and Global Operations. The position will be located in London, Cheltenham or New Malden and will report to the Mission Systems CIO.
You will be responsible and accountable for managing all EMEA region IT budgets, as well as recurring and nonrecurring activity that:
1. Enable program execution, program security and business capture
2. Improve user productivity and experience
3. Deliver value to Northrop Grumman sectors and EMEA Region business partners
4. Develop talent and enable the CIO culture
5. Manage risk
As the IT Director, you will establish and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships to foster an in-depth understanding of business requirements, lead and develop transformational strategies/concepts, implement change to create and drive capabilities that enable business requirements. Additional responsibilities include:
1. Shaping and leading digital transformation and digital maturity initiatives at scale, working with our operational businesses and functions to develop strategies for delivery of EMEA wide tooling underpinning our customer deliveries
2. Develop the enterprise architecture required to support the EMEA region and lead the delivery and operational execution of underpinning infrastructure, tools and processes to support Northrop Grumman objectives
3. CIO strategic demand planning
4. Develop and obtain approval for annual CIO project and budget plans to support Long Range Strategic Planning (LRSP)
5. CIO governance and compliance for all sites in the EMEA Region
6. Managing day-to-day CIO activities across the EMEA Region
Essential Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or related field of study and extensive relevant professional experience. In lieu of education, extensive related experience will be considered.
2. Experience leading diverse/matrixed functional or program teams driving outcomes and achieving results, including leading with Agile and / or SAFE methodologies, and leading aspects of digital transformation.
3. Experience managing a portfolio of diverse and complex IT projects--to include classified and unclassified.
4. Results-oriented team player, with the ability to handle a rapidly changing set of projects and priorities while maintaining a strong professional presence.
5. Must be flexible and demonstrate strong judgment/decision-making skills and risk management, as well as strong business and technical acumen.
6. Excellent organisational, verbal, and written communications skills, as well as program management, strategy, analytical, planning, and presentation skills are required.
7. Management experience and skills, or other comparable leadership positions, to include management of offsite and matrixed personnel, and employee development.
8. 25% travel is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Prior Northrop Grumman Sector experience.
2. Prior experience supporting and managing environments for manufacturing, engineering, development and production programs--to include classified and unclassified environments.
3. Creative thinking to solve resource challenges for large programs or products.
4. Comfortable making recommendations that have broad organisational impacts.
5. Possess strong interpersonal and written skills; strong organisational and analytical skills; and must be a team player.
6. Experience managing supplier relationships.
You must be able to gain and maintain the highest level of UK Government security clearance or relevant UK Government security clearance in line with this role (SC).
