Quantity Surveyor - Uxbridge - T2P - Reactive Maintenance
Quantity Surveyor required to work with national property services contractor based out of their regional office near Uxbridge on a temp-to-perm basis, focusing on their reactive maintenance contract. Permamance salary of £65k + benefits after initial temp contract. Flexible working with 3 days in the office, 2 days at home. Example responsibilities below.
Financial Management
Budgeting & Cost Control: Monitor budgets, prepare cost forecasts, and ensure projects stay within financial limits.
Valuations & Reporting: Conduct valuations, manage cost reports, and prepare payment certifications.
Measurement & Valuation
NHF SOR Application: Apply NHF SOR for accurate measurement, valuation, and pricing of works.
Variation Valuations: Manage and value contract variations in line with NHF SOR.
Contract Administration
Subcontractor Management: Oversee subcontractors, ensuring work aligns with NHF SOR and contractual obligations.
Dispute Resolution: Handle claims and disputes related to pricing, delays, or NHF SOR application.
Tendering & Procurement
Tender Preparation: Assist in preparing tender documents using NHF SOR and evaluate submissions.
Procurement: Manage procurement of subcontractors and materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Stakeholder Communication
Client Liaison: Maintain clear communication with clients on costs, progress, and NHF SOR use.
Reporting: Provide regular updates on project progress and financial status.
Compliance & Risk Management
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and mitigate risks, including NHF SOR discrepancies.
Auditing: Maintain up-to-date records for audit readiness.
Documentation & Record Keeping
Work Order Tracking: Ensure proper documentation of work orders and costs, aligned with NHF SOR.
Final Accounts: Prepare and reconcile final accounts as per NHF SOR.
Value Engineering
Cost Efficiency: Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency using NHF SOR for benchmarking.
Performance Monitoring
KPI Tracking: Monitor performance against cost, time, and quality targets, benchmarking with NHF SOR.
Contract Reviews: Conduct contract reviews to recommend improvements.
Social Value Compliance
Social Value Management: Ensure compliance with social value commitments, evaluating their cost impacts.
