The role – IT Network Field Technician The salary - £22,000 - £25,000 The location – Edinburgh I’m working with a growing local organisation as they look to add an IT Field Service Engineer to their growing team. The role’s primary responsibility is to support with the deployment of networking equipment in customer premises, working alongside remote network engineers to confirm remote access. The role will involve fault finding and basic troubleshooting support with networking equipment. Full training will be provided. This role is perfect for someone who has familiarity with networking hardware and wants to grow their skills in a client facing environment. Your day-to-day: Provide installation support for the organisations Managed Network. Provide on-site hardware support during the installation process, assisting the network engineers with remote access and testing of hardware. Liaise with on-site stakeholders in a professional manner. Install hardware into street cabinets to ensure connectivity of the network. About you: You’ll have familiarity with networking hardware, either from practical experience or from a university degree. You’ll have a full UK driving license. You’ll have excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
