Senior Mental Health Nurse - HMP Bullingdon

We are recruiting for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our team at HMP Bullingdon in Bicester to provide mental health support and interventions to service users within the prison establishment.
Prisons are rewarding places for mental health nurses to work, where you have the opportunity to develop your existing skills with a vulnerable and unique patient group.
You will be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team who deliver triage, assessment, group interventions, and caseload management in a person-centred way.
This role includes an RSU allowance of £1,446 per annum on top of your salary.
Applicants must have a full valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work. Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010 where required.
Main duties of the job
* Provide high quality, safe and effective mental health care and interventions to the service users within the prison establishment.
* Manage a caseload, triage, assessment, and delivery of evidence-based interventions.
* Provide advice and support to primary health care based within the prison, and other prison staff.
* Work with internal and external partners, including partner healthcare providers, prison colleagues, social care providers, and probation services.

* Current NMC registration
* Experience of working in the field of criminal justice
* Knowledge of forensic care

* Experience of providing specialist interventions for those with mental health challenges
* Experience of managing self harm and associated risks
* Experience of developing and delivering group work
