Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) / Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA)\n\nAre you an experienced IDVA or ISVA looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals? Belmont Recruitment is partnering with a private charity in West Yorkshire to recruit a dedicated professional for a 12-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to support survivors of domestic and sexual violence, empowering them to rebuild their lives in a safe and supportive environment.\n\nAbout the Role:\nYou’ll provide high-quality, trauma-informed support to adults experiencing domestic or sexual violence.
As a key point of contact, you’ll advocate on their behalf, ensuring access to the right services and pathways to recovery.\n\nYour responsibilities will include:\n\n * Conducting comprehensive risk assessments and developing tailored safety and support plans.\n\n * Providing emotional and practical support to survivors, both in crisis and throughout their recovery journey.\n\n * Liaising with partner agencies, including the police, housing, and social services, to coordinate care and ensure client safety.\n\n * Supporting clients through the criminal justice process, including attending court as needed.\n\n * Delivering prevention-focused interventions and raising awareness of available services.\n\nWhat You’ll Need:\n\n * Previous experience working as an IDVA or ISVA, with relevant qualifications (e.g Safe Lives or ISVA training).\n\n * A strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and trauma-informed practice.\n\n * Knowledge of the criminal justice system and multi-agency working.\n\n * Enhanced DBS clearance (essential).\n\n * Excellent communication and advocacy skills.\n\nWhat’s on Offer:\n\n * Competitive hourly rate of £19 - £22 (dependant on experience).\n\n * The chance to work with a respected charity making a real difference in the community.\n\n * A supportive and collaborative team environment.\n\n * A 12-month contract, with potential for extension based on funding and performance.\n\nIf you’re passionate about supporting survivors and making a positive impact, we’d love to hear from you.
