Engineering Services Manager wanted to join a world leading manufacturing company based in Barnstaple paying a competitive salary. Based both in the UK and Internationally they manufacture highly engineered components and systems for a wide variety of global markets.
The Engineering Services Manager will act as a bridge between Production and Engineering, ensuring that priorities are set, and the machine shop operates effectively to meet manufacturing priorities.
Engineering Services Manager responsibilities:
Team Management: Lead a team encompassing functions of Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance and Facilities; delegate, manage performance and development plans to maximise efficiency of the team.
Engineering Development: Offer process and product engineering support to manufacturing Value Streams to enhance business performance in delivery, productivity, and availability.
Support Manufacturing: Ensure the Engineering Function supplies all necessary documentation, information, and tools to the manufacturing team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Promote Lean Principles: Advocate for Lean principles to identify and implement improvements in processes and products for enhanced business performance.
Lead Transformational Initiatives: Facilitate transformation events to achieve significant performance improvements.
Enable High-Performance Teams: Lead technical and professional initiatives for Lean and pre-production teams, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive substantial business benefits.
Engineering Services Manager Requirements:
* Experience working as an Engineering Services Manager or similar
* Leadership / Management experience with a variety of skill sets
* Automation and robotics experience and understanding experience would be essential
* Able to demonstrate experience and understanding of Lean principles
* Have a basic understanding of business KPI’s and be able to make data driven decisions
* Holds IOSH certification or equivalent for health and safety would be ideal
