You've got to be ok performing under pressure. Doing your best work with eyes burning into the back of your head, watching your every move. Not wanting you to trip up, but out of pure excitement and anticipation that you're the one solving the problems. You'll be a people person as this role is customer-facing. You'll be on site installing, diagnosing, or fixing some impressive pieces of machinery.

As an Installation Engineer, you should know this role requires a lot of travel. This position will be UK only, covering a handful of regions, and a clean driving license is required.
Currently, there's a team of 4 Engineers, and due to rapid but solid growth, you'll be number 5. Communication is key to ensure that the best engineer for the specific job is scheduled. Expect a lot of training in this role, so be prepared to be in and around the head office (Crawley) for a while to learn the business, the presses, and to absorb as much of the organization's expertise as possible.
Culture is important in this role. As the company goes through rapid growth, it's essential that new talent fits within the business, even in remote roles. After all, you're the face of the business when installing a major piece of capital expenditure for a new customer.
Knowledge of printing presses would be incredibly useful. While training will be provided, having large format print knowledge and experience will put you in good stead.
