About the Opportunity:
We are currently seeking to identify a talented Commissioning Manager for an immediate mobilization to one of our Nuclear Projects in the South of England.
The role:
The Commissioning Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of the Commissioning phase of a large Project from the concept design through to handover to the client at the end of Inactive Commissioning.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Ensure Safety is the highest priority on the project, with a continued strive towards Zero Harm. Leads the commissioning team as a role model for all aspects of safety, ensuring a proactive approach to nuclear, radiological, conventional and environmental safety;
2. Compiles the project commissioning strategy, defines scope and owns the commissioning plan;
3. Ensures all commissioning arrangements are in place and conform to Site License conditions through the commissioning preparation and execution phases;
4. Manages the preparation and execution of the arrangements for controlling, witnessing, recording and assessing the results of commissioning tests for both IPC and ISC ensuring that all commissioning activities are recorded and managed via the project completions management system;
5. Establishes and maintains all processes and procedures required for commissioning delivery;
6. Actively participates in the company digital transformation process and leads the commissioning team to deliver paperless commissioning;
7. Compiles handover strategy and supports the client in the preparation for Active Plant Commissioning and Active Plant Operations.
Here's What You'll Need:
8. 10 years commissioning experience, with experience in a similar managerial role for either the nuclear industry or another highly regulated industry;
9. Experience with completions management systems;
10. Preferred degree or HNC/HND in Engineering related subject;
11. Project management knowledge, preferably APM member;
12. Either a current security clearance at SC level or the ability to obtain SC Clearance.
