Job Title: Private Client Legal Secretary
Responsibilities:
1. Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Private Client team, including diary management, billing prep, and call screening.
2. Typing correspondence, opening files, managing incoming and outgoing post, and ensuring all documentation is accurately filed.
3. Liaising with clients in a professional and empathetic manner, particularly during sensitive legal processes such as Wills, Probate, or LPAs.
4. Preparing straightforward legal documents and assisting with basic legal tasks under supervision.
5. Supporting colleagues and other departments with reception and postal duties as required.
Experience Required:
1. Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary, ideally within a Private Client department.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
3. High levels of accuracy and attention to detail, with proven ability to manage a varied workload efficiently.
4. Confident IT user with proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with legal case management systems.
5. A team-player attitude with the flexibility to support wider office functions as needed.
