Duties
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and naptime
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks, such as diapering and potty training
- Monitor children for any signs of illness or injury and provide appropriate care
- Communicate with parents about their child's daily activities and progress
- Maintain a clean and organized childcare space
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with children, parents, and other staff members
- Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities
- Ability to adapt to the needs of individual children and provide personalized care
- Basic first aid and CPR certification is preferred but not required
