As the Administration and Data Handling Technician you will support the relevant business needs across all Sheffield Integrated Waste Management sites.
You will be responsible for carrying out administration tasks including operational data validation, error solving, reconciliation and data and information update into relevant local documents and software systems. You will ensure that all assigned tasks are executed in line with relevant procedures and performance measures, meeting timescales, standards and expectations.
You will be part of a wider administration team situated at other operational sites, and will be expected, periodically, to work across those sites.

Your duties will include:
Data input, analysis, reconciliation and reporting.
Document/report typing, correspondence handling.
Carrying out all administrative related tasks required by the role and business needs.
Processing agency and staffing hours for payroll.
Processing purchase orders and invoice reconciliation; liaising with the Finance Team and Contractors/Suppliers.
Ordering stationery and refreshments for Sheffield Contract where needed.
Dealing with incoming and outgoing post.
Organising and supporting meetings including minute taking.
Weighbridge administration activities, i.e.recording and reporting of relevant vehicle movement data. Administrating the overseas export of product/container movement process.
Supporting a busy management team where requested.
Filing, storing and archiving of documentation in line with Veolia Policy, Contract requirements and site specific/local procedures.
What we're looking for;
To enable you to carry out this role you must have attention to detail and be an excellent problem solver, be able to demonstrate excellent communication and team working skills with the ability to work with large amounts of data.
The successful candidate will have excellent IT skills, and should not be phased by changing demands.
Level 3 Business and Administration is desirable.
Experience of working in the waste industry is desirable however not essential.
