Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer-aided design (CAD), with experience in SolidWorks being highly beneficial. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for various projects. Your expertise in SolidWorks will enable you to contribute effectively to our design processes, ensuring precision and efficiency in our projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop detailed design drawings and specifications using CAD software, with a preference for those proficient in SolidWorks.
2. Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and convert conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings.
3. Utilise SolidWorks to create 3D models and 2D drawings for project plans.
4. Ensure all CAD designs comply with company standards and relevant industry regulations.
5. Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of drafting standards, engineering practices, and new developments in SolidWorks and other CAD software.
7. Assist in the preparation of documentation, reports, and plans as required for project submission and approval.
8. Generate high-quality technical reports, both intercompany and customer-facing. Develop and maintain working relationships across the company to allow effective teamwork.

Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications:
15. Proven experience as a CAD Technician, with demonstrated proficiency in SolidWorks highly desirable.
16. Strong understanding of engineering principles and design practices.
17. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
18. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects.
19. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
20. Familiarity with other CAD software and technology is a plus.
21. CCTV/Security systems (beneficial but not essential)
