Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
* Build and organise pallets for storage and shipment.
* Load and unload goods from lorries and containers.
* Handle materials with care, ensuring they are stored correctly and efficiently.
* Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels through effective picking and packing processes.
* Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory and manage stock levels.
* Operate forklifts safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols.
* Assist in conducting regular stock checks and audits to ensure accuracy of inventory records.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
* Familiarity with materials handling techniques and best practices.
* Ability to operate forklifts; certification is a plus but training can be provided for the right candidate.
* Strong organisational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
* Physically fit, capable of lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.
