Job Duties:
* Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons to girls in accordance with the national curriculum
* Assess students' physical abilities and track their progress
* Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
* Organise and supervise extracurricular sporting activities and events
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
Required Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Specialism in Physical Education
* Enhanced DBS check
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
* Strong understanding of the national curriculum for physical education
* Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Passion for promoting physical fitness and wellbeing
Preferred Qualifications:
* Postgraduate qualification in Education or Physical Education
* Experience coaching sports teams
Working Conditions:
The role involves working on a temporary basis with full-time hours. The teacher will be based in a school setting, delivering physical education to girls aged between 11-16. Some extracurricular activities and events may require evening or weekend work.
