Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a brand new service for West Yorkshire and Barnsley delivering inpatient services to people with a learning disability. Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust and South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust have come together to provide specialist inpatient services from two units at the Horizon Centre in Wakefield and a new assessment and treatment unit Najurally Centre at Lynfield Mount Hospital in Bradford.
Leeds and York Partnership Foundation Trust are also part of the governance and assurance group to ensure that the new arrangement works for people in Leeds, but the Trust is no longer a provider of inpatient services.
Our ambition is to create a West Yorkshire Centre of Excellence across these two units, providing great support for people through a truly collaborative partnership approach that benefits those in need of specialist inpatient care. Main duties of the job
We have a post for Highly specialised Occupational therapist Band 7, at the Najurally Centre in Bradford.

Qualifications
Essential
1. BHSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy or equivalent Registration with Health Care Professions Council Training in clinical supervision, appraisal and recruitment (or willingness to undertake within an agreed timescale) Evidence of on-going professional development Evidence of up to date training and qualifications relevant to, learning disability and mental health Experience of working with adults with learning disability and presenting conditions Current UK Driving License

2. Training and qualifications in leadership Professional Practice Educators qualification Evidence of higher level professional development accredited modules at post-graduate or Masters level in Occupational Therapy or related subject

Specialist clinical experience of direct occupational therapy clinical work with people with learning disability Experience of using specialist assessments and outcome measures relevant to the client group. Experience of using highly specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions relevant to the clinical area Experience of contributing specialist occupational therapy knowledge within a multidisciplinary team. Experience of supervising other staff and conducting reviews. Active involvement in practice placement education Experience of involvement in leadership, service improvement, quality and governance, research and audit and gaining service user feedback. Knowledge of key national and local drivers in the development oflearning disability services.
