The shift lead will play a vital role in Operations team in our Bridgwater warehouse, Hinkley Logistics Hub. Deputise in shift managers absence; liaise with supplier’s management, forecasting and project expectations. Distribute workload between the Operatives for effective output. Identify and escalate any site maintenance concerns. Be an active presence in the warehouse and lead my example with a safety-first approach. Identify resourcing requirements and escalate to senior management. Support Multitask Operatives with their duties and responsibilities where required. Completing regular 121s with MTO, T&A, Return to Works, actively supporting the onboarding process, interviewing. Identify and implement innovative storage solutions – Continuous improvement of the warehouse processes. Liaise with stakeholders, client, senior management, and contractors. Take an active role in H&S, continuously reviewing SSOW and SOPs to ensure they are up to date and accurate. Person specification Experience, skills, and attributes: Microsoft packages: word, excel and PowerPoint MHE experience desirable. Driving license desirable Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential. Confidence to escalate concerns to senior management.
