Calderdale College are seeking to recruit ambitious English practitioners that have the ability to deliver outstanding teaching and learning in GCSE English leading to strong progress.
With a recognised teaching qualification, you will have the knowledge of the GCSE English specifications and will have the ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their potential. You must be able to instil enthusiasm and enjoyment into the learning process in such a way that can lead to increased self-esteem and enhanced learner engagement.
The successful candidates will have experience working with young people and/or adults in an education environment. You will be required to manage and support diverse groups of learners through English qualifications. You will also support the wider Maths and English team to develop innovative and creative methods of delivering Functional Skills and/or GCSE. This will require a clear understanding of strategies for raising performance and using monitoring processes to optimise learner progress.
