Teacher of Production
Reporting to: Lead Teacher of Production
Location: CAPA College, Mulberry Way, Wakefield, WF1 2QN
Grade: Main Pay Scale (if the successful candidate has QTS) UQT Scale (if the successful candidate is an industry professional moving into a teacher career without QTD)
Contract: Full-time, permanent OR Part-time, permanent (please indicate whether you wish to apply for a full-time or part-time role)
Closing Date: Sunday 8th December
Interview Date: w/c 9th December (you will be shortlisted on 9th December and asked to interview on another date in the same week)
Start Date: 6th January 2025 (or as soon as possible following this date)

About the Post
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a forward-thinking, highly positive and outstanding Arts in Education organisation. CAPA College’s increasingly popular and successful Production Pathway is growing which means that we are excited to be able to appoint another passionate, create Production subject specialist to join our established team of teachers, artists and practitioners.
CAPA College is looking for people who can support and deliver within the Creative Arts sector of the curriculum, this may include (but not limited to) costume / make up / scenography / props, from both a design and practical realisation aspect.
The exciting Production curriculum covers a wide range of creative and technical units including:
* Costume: design, sourcing and making
* Make up design and application
* Design development
* Prop design and construction
* Set design and construction
* Workshop skills
* Stage-management
* Lighting design, installation and operation
* Sound design, installation and operation
We are excited to receive applications from specialists who feel they have the skills, experience and passion to contribute significantly to the Production Arts (Creative) curriculum.
As such, applications from both qualified teachers (QTS), FE or HE lecturers or Production Arts practitioners with teaching experience are all welcomed.
