SEN Behaviour Mentor – Full-Time

We are looking for a passionate and committed SEN Behaviour Mentor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and a strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.
Role Overview:
As an SEN Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional support with their emotional, social, and behavioural development. Your role will involve creating positive, structured environments, developing tailored support plans, and using a variety of strategies to promote positive behaviour and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and group support for students with behavioural and emotional difficulties.
* Develop and implement individualised behaviour plans and strategies.
* Monitor student progress, record outcomes, and communicate effectively with teachers, parents/carers and other members of support staff.
* Promote a positive and safe learning environment for students.
* Act as a role model, demonstrating positive behaviour and communication skills.
* Help students build confidence, social skills, and resilience.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, particularly in managing behaviour.
* Knowledge of a range of behaviour management strategies and interventions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
* A calm and patient approach, with the ability to remain resilient in challenging situations.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
