SERVICE DELIVERY ASSISTANT – Lutterworth area OUTCO are recruiting for 2 Service Delivery Assistants within the Winter Division, to support the operation in the North London area, with occasional travel. Regional Assistants are crucial members of the team and are responsible for assisting regional management with the smooth and safe running of the gritting operation in their region. The role will include overseeing winter vehicle maintenance and on occasion may require gritting vehicles to be driven. No qualifications are required but a keen interest in maintenance works and some previous experience in a similar type of role would be advantageous. A valid UK driving licence is essential and candidates will be required to work on sites in all weather conditions. This will be fixed term role between until the end of March 2025. THE ROLE • Assist the region with all daily operations and manage and motivate operators to achieve and exceed targets and Key Performance Indicators through support and supervision, training and coaching. • Maintain and strengthen communication at all levels in order to provide leading edge customer service and account management. • Carry out site surveys, operator inspections, deal with breakdowns, monitor salt stock and locate new yards where required. • Ensure salt piles are inspected and covered at all times. • Assist with training new operators and issuing vehicles and equipment. • Carry out daily administrative tasks including the updating of service plans. • Carry out route and asset planning for better efficiency. • Carry out Service Audits both in progress and retrospectively to ensure Quality provision is maintained at all times. • Deal with exception reports and investigate them. • Service sites as cover if required. • Deal with access issues and any other issue, report them in Nimbus and run workflows. • Carry out basic Spreader and Vehicle Repairs. • Arrange breakdown cover as and when required. ABOUT YOU • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Computer literate with all Microsoft package applications • Must have good IT skills, with strong knowledge of MS Office (Strong Word and Excel) and databases. • Ability to multitask, deliver results and find solutions in an ever-changing environment. • Should possess strong operational skills, common sense, be logical and be responsive to requests. • Must have 1 years’ relevant experience in an operational role and be willing to learn. • Have the right to work in the UK and consent to obtaining a DBS check (reimbursed by the Company).
