Delivery Driver - Van 3.5t

Due to customer growth, Pivotal Foods Ltd is looking for a permanent Full-time Delivery Driver to add to our dynamic team. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, flexibility, and the ability to work hard on their own initiative. You will be driving either a MWB or LWB Mercedes Sprinter, delivering frozen patisserie products to various customers nationwide, as well as making collections from suppliers on our pre-mapped routes.
Reports to: Logistics Manager
Hours: Monday-Friday You will be required to start shift at 4am.
1 in 5 Saturday Rota (if required, paid extra)
Flexibility on finish times varies, so please take this into consideration before applying.
Role: Full-time, Permanent
Based: Tewkesbury, GL20 8SF
Pay: £13.23ph
Holiday: 20 days + Bank holidays
For insurance reasons, the applicant must be 25 years or older.
Driver Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform daily duties ensuring all relevant company processes are adhered to, including:
* Food safety
* Health & safety
Make sure that orders are:
* Picked accurately (Orders picked by warehouse the day before)
* Loaded correctly and safely
* Delivered on time
* Delivered in good condition
Ensure that products are received, stored, and distributed in line with the company’s food safety policy and in accordance with BRC standards.
Ensure customer interaction is in line with company expectations.
Always work safely and drive safely and courteously.
Skills, Experience, and Requirements
Essential:
* The ability to start work early in the morning, from 4:00am
* Full UK category B driving license
* A maximum of 3 points on your licence
* Experience of driving a 3.5t LWB/MWB van
* Mature and professional driving skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills relating to colleagues, customers, and the public
* Good customer service skills
* Ability to use a smartphone with Google Maps & WhatsApp
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and professional appearance, wearing uniform to an acceptable standard
* Perform any other duties suitable to the position as required
* Ensure that your vehicle is kept clean, tidy & safe
Desirable:
* 2 years delivery driver experience preferred
* Basic vehicle maintenance skills at driver level
* Basic IT skills
