We are looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team based at our Head Office in Bishops Cleeve Cheltenham to join at an Engineer or Senior Engineer level. What you'll be doing You'll be responsible for the sustainment of our ever-growing portfolio of complex electronics products for our aerospace customers. You will review technical requirements, ensure product conformance to design is maintained and play a lead role in redesign projects. You'll be a subject matter expert within the facility, providing technical support to the Ontic UK Operations teams and external suppliers for products throughout their lifecycle. From transition of product to the facility through to retirement, you'll provide technical support to all internal and external customers and stakeholders. You'll lead root cause investigations and deliver corrective actions, producing technical documents and reports to a high standard. You will be a key support function to the Component Engineering team on obsolescence management strategy. Ontic is passionate about developing new engineers so we want you to be a fervent mentor and coach to graduates and engineering interns during their development. What you'll need to know As an Electronics Engineer you’ll possess a degree or equivalent in an Electronics discipline or be qualified by equivalent experience in a relevant industry. You’ll be able to demonstrate experience in a technical support/Electronic Engineering role in a design or manufacturing environment, ideally within Aerospace or another regulated industry. For consideration as a Senior Electronics Engineer you’ll additionally have experience working at a similar level with significant experience within digital and/or analogue electronics design or evaluation, where reliability and safety is key. Experience in RF Design or Evaluation is desirable but not essential. You will have experience in authorising design changes or carrying out critical design reviews.
