Reports To: General Store Manager
Position Summary
You are the Captain of your Area. You are responsible to ensure consistency of service standards, excellent service, and maintain the cleanliness and condition of the Front of House. You are accountable for achieving the store's sales and profit by maintaining upselling procedures and guest care. It is your responsibility to keep your team driven and create a cheerful professional working environment that will keep our Guests wanting to return to German Doner Kebab.
Duties and Responsibilities
Leads Operations Excellence:
* Oversees and manages the Front of House area at a German Doner Kebab Restaurant.
* Ensures guest service meets company standards and strong customer satisfaction is maintained.
* Respond efficiently to Guest complaints and take appropriate action to solve the problem.
* Enforces and ensures the best quality of products possible is served.
* Organises the Front of House and supervises responsibilities to ensure both team colleagues and guests satisfaction.
* Trains and directs team members through strong well-organised training to ensure great guest service.
* Appraises personnel's performance and provides feedback to keep the team motivated and productive.
* Maintains stock inventory for Front of House and analyses consumption.
* Monitors and ensures compliance with food safety and health & safety rules and regulations.
* Successfully promotes and publicises the GDK brand.
* Nurtures a positive working environment and leads by example.
* Monitors Front of House operations and initiates corrective actions.
* Acts as duty manager on a rotation basis.
* Leads pre- and post-shift rally with the Front of House team to communicate set targets, share feedback, and brief the team about any business-related information.
* Takes responsibility for the business performance of the Front of House of a German Doner Kebab restaurant.
* Ensures the Front of House is operating according to GDK guidelines.
* Addressees the root cause of Front of House related Guest complaints and takes action to resolve the problem.
* Ensures that all employees at the Front of House adhere to the company uniform standards.
* Meets and greets guests and organises table reservations.
* Organises and supervises the shifts of dining and counter staff.
* Maintains high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
* Prepares cash drawers and provides petty cash as required.
* Helps in any position of the Front of House when circumstances dictate.
* Takes a proactive role in encouraging teamwork, cooperation, harmony, productivity, and a positive attitude within the working environment.
* Completes all necessary daily reports at the end of each shift.
* Attends any training or meetings as and when required by German Doner Kebab or the Franchisee.
* Performs any other duties as designated by the Operations Manager due to business demands.
* Works with the General Store Manager to coordinate all aspects of the Front of House.
* Monitors the stock storage areas and keeps the Front of House neat and clean at all times.
* Collaborates with the General Store Manager and the Store Team to ensure tight stock control and budgeted margins are achieved.
* Fills out daily paperwork.
* Meets and greets all customers where possible and role models exceptional guest care.
* Leads and complies with maintaining high standards of guest care.
* Supports team colleagues at peak times and undertakes any operational duty which might be reasonably required to ensure guest expectations are met.
* Ensures GDK Front of House team are always well-groomed and smart ready for work.
* Promotes and follows legal responsibilities and requirements associated with the business at all times.
* Has a good working knowledge of all equipment and efficiently takes care of preventative maintenance.

Qualifications:
A qualified candidate for the position of a Supervisor Front of House should have outstanding interactive and communication skills and possess the enthusiasm to work with colleagues and team as a team player. In addition to these, the following qualities, skills, knowledge, and abilities are most sought:
* Proven working experience as Supervisor/Duty Manager within the Food Industry.
* Demonstrated experience in guest service management.
* Extensive guest care knowledge.
* Proficiency in English.
* Computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems.
* Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills.
* Financial management skills.
