As Year 1 teacher + Phase Leader, you will be responsible for leading the educational direction of the phase and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning experiences for students. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Year 1 or Year 2 teacher with a passion for education and leadership to make a significant impact in the development and success of students.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Year 1 phase and collaborate with teaching staff to develop effective teaching strategies and curriculum plans
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all students
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support to ensure academic growth
* Implement and uphold school policies and procedures, fostering a positive and safe learning environment
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a strong sense of community within the phase and promote cross-curricular learning opportunities
* Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and carers, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns or queries
* Lead and participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated with educational practices
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
* Proven experience as a Year 1 teacher, ideally with experience in a leadership or phase lead role
* Excellent knowledge of the primary education curriculum and current teaching methods
* Strong classroom management skills and ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to learn and implement new teaching strategies
* High level of organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
