Your new role
In your new role, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements for clients with minimal supervision. You will also have the opportunity to support on various Business Advisory projects regarding the application and interpretation of new and existing accounting standards. The key duties of your new role will include:
1. Preparing statutory financial statements for clients with minimal supervision, including the preparation of consolidated financial statements, using both Microsoft Word and CCH Accounts Production software, in accordance with both UK GAAP and IFRS
2. Working with other internal departments on the delivery of statutory financial statements and advisory work
3. Supporting various accounting advisory projects on application and interpretation of existing and new accounting standards
4. Actively monitoring and managing your work including ensuring deadlines and budgets are met, work ispleted to a good standard andmunication is effective both within the team and with our clients
5. Where circumstances allow, delegating work to assistants and ensuring that they are supported as necessary toplete that work to the standard required
6. Briefing, training and de-briefing Assistants, giving formal feedback as required
7. Liaising with client staff whether at the client’s premises or on-line and building effective relationships with our clients
8. Taking an active role in your own development by seeking regular feedback and identifying and acting upon personal development needs.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have strong experience in a similar role and ideally hold a professional qualification such as ICAS or ACCA. The successful candidate will be keen to continue their growth and development and be an excellentmunicatorfortable undertaking client-facing work. You will be confident assisting in the training and development of the firms more junior staff members and bemitted and able to provide an high level of customer service to all clients.
