The opportunity: This is a standout opportunity for an experienced Visual Merchandiser who is passionate about delivering outstanding displays and layouts. This full-time role as part of a visual merchandising team is based across our three southeast London locations and our Mayfair store. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will ensure the brand DNA is rolled out consistently whilst understanding that the customer is at the heart of everything we do. You are creative, have a commercial visual merchandising eye and you are happy to work independently to deliver the brand vision. You will work closely with the directors and management team to boost the sales of key products by creating and implementing unique ways to sell products via exceptional visual merchandising. Job Purpose: The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for designing and creating attractive visual displays throughout the store with a view to maximising sales. As a creative and innovative thinker, you will use your skills in visual design and space utilisation to enhance the aesthetic appeal of window displays, walkways, counters, and all in-store displays. You will promote The Nunhead Gardener brand, products and services throughout the store. Responsibilities: Create appealing and eye-catching visual displays that lead the customer through the entire store Change displays to promote new product arrivals and reflect festive or seasonal themes Enhance the sales potential of our stores, by bringing new ideas through all aspects of visual merchandising (store environment, POS, creative layouts) Effectively plan any range moves within the store Feedback to buying team about best sellers and poor-performing product lines Research lifestyle, demographics and design trends Leading by example to promote the highest standards of customer care and service at all times Work as a team player and enjoy helping your team-mates Possess a good knowledge of plant names and care requirements Foster close working relationships with directors and managers, based on openness and honesty, where all are committed to improving the sales and perception of the brand through Visual Merchandising Maintain strong communication with the warehouse team to ensure fast and efficient replenishment of stock Actively seeking new and improved ways of working simply and cost-efficiently Analyse consumer behaviour and adjust product positioning Ensure that the retail team are trained in the store merchandising standards Identify slow-selling and damaged items and take action to clear these within the store asap.
