We are seeking a passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join an exciting new specialist school in Devon, designed to create a nurturing and inclusive environment for students facing emotionally based school avoidance and anxiety.
About The Role:
As a HLTA, you’ll play a key role in supporting students’ learning, confidence and emotional wellbeing. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing tailored in-class support to ensure students can fully engage in their learning
* Assisting in the development and implementation of personalised learning strategies
* Supporting outreach initiatives to help students transition back into education
* Collaborating with teachers, therapists and families to create a strong support network
* Encouraging social and emotional growth through effective engagement strategies

Who We’re Looking For:
* HLTA qualification or relevant experience
* Experience working with children or young people, particularly in SEN, SEMH or Autism support
* A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach to learning
* Strong relationship-building skills with students, families and colleagues
* A passion for helping young people overcome challenges and reach their full potential
