Reed accountancy are working with a well-established property firm, based in Edinburgh who are looking to add to their finance team and bring in an experienced property accounts assistant on an initial part-time basis with the opportunity to go full-time in due course. This role is perfect for individuals with other commitments, or young children as the hours of the role is very flexible and accommodative to the candidate's requirements. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in a similar role and any previous property finance experience is desirable but not essential. Day-to-day of the role: Manage utilities, broadband accounts, and associated mail. Generate Monthly Rental Statements for landlords and handle bank reconciliations. Manage rental payments, including importing payments, arranging landlord payments, and updating property managers and landlords. Handle tenant arrears, overpayments, and supplier invoices for rent deduction and payment. Conduct credit card reconciliations, manage monthly profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and company accounts. Maintain purchase/sales ledgers, credit control, monthly payroll, and pension submissions. Required Skills & Qualifications: Fluent in English with the right to work in the UK. Additional languages are beneficial. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload. Experience in property lettings or estate agency is preferred.
