Job Title: Electrical Engineering Manager (Control & Instrumentation)

Salary: Negotiable dependant on experience
What you’ll be doing:
* Day to day support to the Principal Engineering Manager – Control & Instrumentation
* Provide leadership, support and governance oversight to the In-service Support Engineers responsible for the Control & Instrumentation, Platform Management System (PMS) and Internal Communications Systems (ICS)
* Supporting the Engineering Team in maturing the delivery strategies in context of Whole Boat System Integration for In-service Platforms
* Provide leadership to the Engineering Team in the review and acceptance of deliverable documentation
* Provide leadership and support to the Engineering Team in Design Development and Declaration of compliance against contract requirements
* Liaise with external customers as required to foster collaborative working relationships and ensure requirements are adequately articulated, understood and met
* Work with BAE Systems’ supply chain and project management departments and collaborate with partners to ensure a fit for purpose solution to the requirements
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Engineering Qualification, ideally BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent in a STEM subject
* CEng (or be able to satisfy requirements for CEng)
* Demonstrable experience of engineering lifecycle, ideally within final design phase and later phases experience
* Competent in diagnosing faults in complex Electrical/Electronic systems
Desirable:
* Experience with complex systems design, development, testing and commissioning
* Marine system and setting to work and commissioning experience
* Knowledge of developing Methods Statements and Risk Assessments
* Development of engineering management and delivery plans
