Founded in 1988, we have over 30 years' experience in care, education, and preparing children for school. This history has enabled us to invest in our team, resources, and environment to give children the best possible start. Our fantastic team of Educators and Teachers have achieved outstanding Ofsted judgements at all our eleven nursery schools.
We will support you in achieving your Level 3 EYE, giving you qualified Early Years Educator status. From here, you can develop your career at Seymour House, opting for a managerial route or you can specialise in areas that excite you such as special educational needs, disability, speech, and language.
The Level 3 can also be used as a stepping-stone towards:
1. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership
2. Honours Degree in Early Years
3. Early Years Teacher (EYITT) or Primary Teacher (QTS)
You will be working with children between the ages of 0-5 years, helping support children’s play and nurture their development. Responsibilities include:
1. Organising activities and assessing children's learning and development.
2. Maintaining records and working in partnership with colleagues and parents.
3. Collaborating with experienced Early Years Educators and having a dedicated mentor.
4. Completing the Level 3 Early Years Educator requirements, which include: Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF).
5. Functional skills in maths and English (if required).
Working hours are Monday - Friday on a rota basis, falling within the nursery's opening hours of 7.00am - 6.00pm (TBC).
