Maintenance Technician (Mechanical)
Chemring Energetics UK (CEUK) is a global business providing equipment based on energetic materials for defence, civil defence, and commercial customers. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) to join our team.
Are you a hands-on problem solver passionate about maintaining operational efficiency? We need a proactive Maintenance Technician to support our production teams through planned, corrective, and reactive maintenance tasks. Your role involves diagnosing breakdowns and executing repairs to ensure our equipment and business operate at peak performance.
Key Accountabilities & Duties:
* Perform activities in full compliance with H&SE legislation, company policies, and procedures.
* Report unsafe acts or conditions using the Near Miss System, in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act.
* Carry out mechanical Planned Preventative Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, and Reactive Maintenance on production equipment and infrastructure.
* Conduct fault diagnosis and root cause analysis.
* Work following site procedures, engineering standards, and relevant legislation.
* Utilize the site Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for all maintenance activities.
* Ensure all work is performed safely and to standard workmanship requirements.
* Adhere to the site permit to work system.
Qualifications/Experience:
* HNC or equivalent in mechanical discipline.
* Ability to diagnose faults in mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
* Good knowledge of maintenance practices, MTBF, condition monitoring, etc.
* Experience in a mechanical maintenance role.
* Experience working in a high-hazard industry.
* CMMS experience.
* Industrial Health and Safety training.
