Group Summary
The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

This position reports directly to the Production Launch and Packaging Manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties as described below:
Your Responsibilities

* Demonstrate problem-solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement.
* Follow Decostar policies and display conduct expected of Decostar employees as described in the employee handbook.
* Meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of Decostar.
* Perform daily cross-functional job assignments as required and per the department’s established procedures and work instructions.
Who we are looking for
* Do not install or make changes to any equipment or machinery that may jeopardize the health and safety of any employee.
* Ensure all employees, under your guidance, have received all required training to perform their job safely.
* Report all accidents immediately.
* Provide general technical support for Packaging Engineers and Packaging Coordinator as required.
* Frequent use of AutoCAD for packaging container prototype design.
* Work with the Packaging Engineers to support launch or modification activities as required.
* Aid with container modifications and mock-ups as required.
* Support implementation and upkeep of the Packaging Database.
Your preferred qualifications
* Experience with AutoCAD 3D modeling or equivalent. Extensive knowledge of 2D CAD and the ability to learn 3D may be acceptable.
* Strong computer skills required. Must be competent in MS Office applications.
* Experience with Access DB or other types of basic programming preferred.
* Associates Degree or coursework experience in a technical field preferred.
