The difference you will make as a Night Support Assistant
You will be key in providing practical and emotional support to vulnerable people to help them sustain their homes and live in the community, monitoring their wellbeing and referring onto more specialist staff if necessary. The priority in your role includes the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our accommodation, including our customers.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
1. Providing waking night staff cover at the service on a rota basis which will include weekends and bank holidays
2. Complete and coordinate nightly patrols in and out of the building to maintain high standards of security and to attend to customers night time needs including carrying out welfare checks on customers as needed
3. Assist in maintaining customer files and ensure accurate and up to date records are kept of support provided to customers in accordance with company policies and procedures
4. Participate in handovers with the day staff at the start and end of

Service Delivery:
15. Provide waking night staff cover at the service on a rota basis including weekend shifts.
16. Ensure that the project adheres to all the standards set out by One Support.
17. Participate in handovers with the day staff at the start and end of each shift.
18. Complete and coordinate nightly patrols in and out of the building (where required) to maintain high standards of security and to attend to customers night time needs.
19. Take all reasonable precautions for the health and safety of the project including implementing the fire procedure, room checks and health and Safety Inspections.
20. Carry out welfare checks on customers as necessary through out the night
Customer Support:
21. To be accessible and responsive at all times to customers concerns and requests for information.
22. To assist/enable customers to maintain high standards of health care and personal hygiene.
23. Ensure customers are enabled and empowered to get involved in the running of the service through consultation and participation.
24. Ensure all customers are fully informed and familiar with local practice and procedures with particular reference to the Health and Safety Regulations, fire drills etc
25. Ensure at all times that other team members are aware of relevant issues about the customers.
26. Assist in maintaining customer files and ensure accurate and up to date records are kept of support provided to customers in accordance with HCS policies including on the mps IT system.
27. Ensure that all customers are fully informed and familiar of changes in local practice and procedures.

28. You will be required to work flexible hours to meet customer and business needs, which may not include normal office hours.
29. Use the Lone Worker system as and when necessary
30. Ensure customers are safe at all times - carrying out all of your duties within Riverside’s Policy and Procedure Policy and Procedure framework. health & safety, safeguarding, dignity at work, GDPR opportunities, cash handling, etc.
