Harrow International School, Bengaluru is delighted to welcome applications for the post of Teacher of Mandarin. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced classroom teacher to work within our expanding Modern Languages Department to build on the successful opening of the school in August 2023. In 2025 we will offer IGCSE, International A level and the IB Diploma and hence this new addition to the Modern Languages team will have the opportunity to build experience across leading international secondary curriculums. They will play a vital role in delivering excellent teaching and learning, as well as an outstanding holistic education to our secondary school students (Year 7 to Year 13).
The teacher of Mandarin will be expected to hold excellent subject knowledge and to demonstrate first-rate classroom practice, hence ensuring students benefit from exceptional teaching and learning. A highly collaborative nature and strong communication skills will be essential, allowing the development of supportive relationships with staff, students, and parents, as well as a strong departmental team. An enthusiasm to contribute to the extra-curricular and boarding life of the school will also be expected.
