Our Stoke Community Drug and Alcohol service are looking for a part time Outreach Recovery Worker to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse client group. As a Recovery Worker you will be providing support and advice to people who are experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse. You will have your own caseload, working as part of our team and alongside other social care services to identify how we can help. You will develop plans with your clients to help them get their lives back to where they want them to be. This role involves actively engaging with rough sleepers in Stoke on Trent. It requires a flexible and proactive approach to the position and working pattern to support individuals into treatment.

There will be assessments to carry out and records you need to keep and update, that's all part of our professional commitment and service to our clients and commissioners.
This is a part time, fixed term position working 18.75 hours per week until March 2025. The salary for this role is £24,561 per annum pro rata.

Required Skills
You will work as part of a team with the aims of:
1. understanding your clients
2. keeping them safe
3. creating a plan they can achieve with your support
4. checking in with them and reviewing their progress
5. keeping accurate and timely records of your contact with them
6. working effectively with other social care providers e.g. Housing, to cover all aspects of their successful recovery
7. continuously learning and reflecting to improve the outcomes for your clients
8. supporting your colleagues across the service to deliver excellent care
Ideally you will have experience of working in a health social care/substance misuse setting. We are looking for positive and motivated candidates who are able to communicate with a wide range of people and in different settings. You will also be results driven, highly organised with excellent time management skills.
