About the Role:
* You will be part of a dedicated team handling property damage claims arising from fires, floods, product liability, and other perils.
* Support experienced lawyers in managing complex Household and Commercial property damage matters.
* Collaborate with a team to deliver exceptional service to key insurer clients.
Key Accountabilities
* Collaborative Excellence: Join a dedicated team handling property damage claims arising from fires, floods, product liability, and other perils.
* Focus on Policy Coverage & Fraud: Engage in matters where policy coverage is in issue or where fraud is suspected, advising renowned insurers on coverage, prospects of success, and evidential matters.
* Support & Development: Assist experienced lawyers with delegated tasks, gaining invaluable experience without the burden of managing your own caseload.
* Chasing and collating documents for strategic consideration.
* Preparing bundles and diarising court orders and critical dates.
* Arranging conferences, Counsel, and expert attendances.
* Conducting legal research and completing factual chronologies.
* Ensuring compliance with the SRA Standards & Regulations.
* Performing other essential duties to support the team.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills and Attributes:
* Educational Background: Degree-level education and/or postgraduate qualification.
* Prioritization: Exceptional ability to prioritize workload efficiently.
* Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail in all aspects of work.
* Technical Proficiency: Competence in working with case management systems.
* Interpersonal Skills: Strong personal skills to manage competing demands from the team of lawyers.
* Team Experience: Previous experience working in a team handling insurance claims.
Desirable Skills:
* Familiarity with the types of disputes managed by the Property Risks and Coverage (PRC) team.
Required Soft Skills:
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Problem-solving aptitude and proactive mindset.
