Senior Sister/Charge Nurse ED (Adult) - x 1 Full-time Post
Could you be a nursing leader in our Emergency Dept? CHS has one of the busiest Emergency Departments in London, seeing 140,000 patients pa. We offer a nursing experience that is both challenging & rewarding.
Our nurses and doctors have designed a bigger and better emergency care facility for thousands of people living in London’s largest borough. We have 28 adult Major Treatment cubicles, dedicated 8 cubicle Children’s ED, a Resuscitation Room with six adult and two paediatric cubicles and an Urgent Treatment Centre for minor injuries and illnesses.
As a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse, you will have significant experience in Emergency Nursing and taking charge of an Emergency Department. You will be calm under pressure and have a can-do attitude towards problem-solving. You will be passionate to lead a team to deliver outstanding patient care.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the effective and efficient operational management of the Emergency Department; including budget control, clinical governance, staff development and training. The post holder will be expected to provide professional leadership within the clinical area and provide direction and inspirational leadership to all members of the multidisciplinary team within the area for which they are accountable. The post holder will be involved in the development of protocols / guidelines and patient information.

* Registered Nurse

* A&E course or similar
* BSc or MSc level nursing training
* ALS
* Demonstrable clinical expertise relevant to ED
