My client based in Norwich is looking for a highly skilled Quality (QHSE) Engineer to join their busy team due to expansion.
The role of the Quality Engineer is to support the organisation, under direction of the QHSE Manager, in ensuring all quality matters are dealt with quickly, efficiently, and in line with legislation & industry best practice.
This role would be ideal for a candidate who already possesses experience biased towards Quality, but who is also looking to expand their skill set and knowledge in HSE.
Responsibilities:
1. To carry out internal quality audits to (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) to the agreed plan, policies and procedures. Including the education and follow up to other departments following NCRs.
2. Facilitate customer, 3rd party and regulatory audits, maintain day-to-day customer contact on quality controls and, support any customer warranty claims & investigations.
3. Provide departmental administrative support updating manuals, registers, programmes and other documentation within the company’s integrated management system.
4. Provide a safe working environment by providing information, instruction and training, and periodically designing and delivering toolbox talks to production teams.
5. Maintain assessments including COSHH, DSE, Fire, DSEAR, PPE, Manual Handling, Aspects & Impacts, etc. and create procedures where necessary.
6. Carry out, as required, relevant incident investigations and support subsequent follow up.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Essential:
1. Role related experience in a manufacturing/production environment, or similar
2. Demonstrable experience in auditing and surveillance of client & contractor activities and ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Training
3. Working knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001)
4. Experience of auditing
5. Strong administrative capabilities and proficient in the use of Microsoft applications
6. Confident and effective communicator
7. Ability to prioritise own workload and initiative to complete tasks in a timely manner
Desirable:
1. Certified Internal Auditor (ISO 9001)
2. Relevant qualification such as; NEBOSH NGC, Level 3 or Level 4 NVQ
3. Knowledge & relevant experience of the aviation industry, specifically risks from explosion (ATEX), REACH, COSHH etc.
4. Experience in producing and delivering training
5. Strong understanding of behavioural safety and human factors
