Our client's established restaurant requires an experienced Food & Beverage Officer to support their back-office administration. The role will be primarily office-based, with a focus on Training, Compliance and Profitability / Procurement .
The ideal candidate will be a people person with extensive experience in a catering environment, with a Catering Qualification of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Ideally, the candidate will also have additional Food Safety/Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. First Aid at Work, IOSH Managing Safely etc).
In the role, you will be responsible for:
Ensuring food costings are accurate and that dishes are fully described for replication
Ensuring all Health & Safety regulations are in place, including HACCP and COSHH
Training new staff and ensuring everyone is up to speed
Ensuring at least 85% compliance in Food Hygiene/Safety across the department
Ensuring the maintenance of equipment and planning/advising on the procurement of new equipment
Ensuing stock is received and rotated correctly etc.
This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to use their expertise in hospitality/catering, away from the customer facing/service-based aspects of the role.
The role will be primarily Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week - with excellent work/life balance. Exceptions would be when an end of month stock take falls on a weekend.

Salary: Up to £40,000p/a depending on experience
