Assistant Conservation Project Officer (Saving Wildcats) Fixed Term, from May until end of September 2025 To carry out a varied range of project support activities to ensure the smooth running of the Saving Wildcats project, including administrative, financial and coordination duties. All under the direction of the Saving Wildcats project lead and in support of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland’s (RZSS’s) vision and mission. Some of the things you’ll do: Support your manager with the running of the Saving Wildcats project by providing a full range of administration service and support duties including for example: collation of weekly and monthly reports, coordination of external and internal meetings, taking minutes. Contribute to the preparation of relevant financial and technical reports. Perform a range of financial administrative services for the project in liaison with the Finance Department adhering to agreed timelines and standards. Coordinate materials ordering and stock control processes for the project, working to agreed procedures, budgets and standards. What we’re looking for: Good qualifications at Higher grade level (including English and Mathematics) or equivalent qualifications or experience Assertive communicator, confident in dealing with queries from across the organisation. Ability to use a range of influencing skills to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external people on the phone, email and face-to-face Able to implement, maintain and improve electronic and manual office management systems Experience of working with minimal supervision, demonstrating good organisational and planning skills.
