This role is now available due to the Founder and Director’s retirement of Bridge Classic Holdings Limited and its associated limited companies.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this front of house role encompasses everything in engineering that you would expect from one of the leading classic vehicle restoration businesses in the UK.
The day-to-day role is to liaise with customers in the booking in of work and the running of our busy workshops; Tuesday to Friday, 6:30am to 5pm.
Managing your team and various departments, the organisational aspect of the role is key to ensure that continual throughput is achieved within the various departments to ensure the stages of builds are seamless.
The “Global Workshop Management System” is pivotal in ensuring that all aspects of the project are recognised, captured and adhered to in the workshop, whilst building a photographic and accurate time record leading through to the monthly invoicing stage.
You will be responsible for the production of invoices, working with the Accounts Administrator to a sign-off stage by the Managing Director.
It will be your overall responsibility for the maintenance of equipment, company vehicles, the fabric of the building and all of the outside space whilst utilising your team to act without question as it is their norm.
Another focus is on delivering “on time” and “on cost” competition cars to the sister company Bridge Classic Cars Competitions, which is currently running at approximately 10 cars per month and continuing.
Requirements:
* A strong manager conversant in a fast-paced engineering and vehicle workshop environment.
* A forward thinker to take the company and its enterprises to the next stage.
* An automotive engineer who is able to aid all parties in expert knowledge of the task in hand for troubleshooting.
* A good customer-focused manager and ambassador of the various brands.
* A leader in Health and Safety and the keeper of legislation requirements throughout the various sites.
* A manager with the necessary computer skills to function within the office environment. (Global Workshop will be required but previous experience is not necessary as full training will be given).
* A strong financial manager who will be looking at reducing costs, increasing profits whilst not compromising on customer care or site performance.
