Position: Facilities Maintenance Assistant
We are looking for a proactive Facilities Maintenance Assistant to ensure the smooth running of our facilities through maintenance, compliance checks, and site upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
* Replacing light tubes, emergency batteries, locks, and door furniture.
* Conducting fire door inspections and weekly fire alarm tests.
* Performing minor repairs (paving, building, plumbing, painting, etc.).
* Site housekeeping, stock management, and material handling.
* Managing subcontractors and compliance records.
* Carrying out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM).
* Winter maintenance (gritting/snow clearance).
* Assisting with site evacuations and general facility upkeep.
Requirements:
Essential:
* GCSE Grade C or equivalent.
* Maintenance experience (hospital setting preferred).
* Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
* Knowledge of engineering practices.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Excellent work ethic and reliability.
Desirable:
* Engineering qualifications.
* Local resident.
* Recent experience in a similar role.
