As an Electronics Test Technician, you will support the Test Engineers in the department in the service and repair of production test equipment. Key duties include;
* Support for equipment calibration and preventative maintenance activities.
* Performing electronic assembly of circuit boards and wiring harnesses.
* First line support for production test equipment breakdowns.
* Update test documentation in line with company processes.
* Develop test programs for cable assemblies.
The ideal candidate will be qualified to HNC (or equivalent) in Electronics Engineering and ideally have previous experience of maintaining test equipment within a manufacturing/production environment.
Other desirable attributes include;
* Knowledge and experience of electronic systems/pcbas/components.
* Basic understanding of mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
* Ability to use standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and power supplies.
* Ideally have experience in debugging automated test equipment hardware
* Basic understanding of computer architecture and hardware.
* Through hole and surface mount soldering experience, ideally J-std trained
* Attention to detail, methodical approach
* Experience of Microsoft Office tools - MS Word, Excel etc.
