Contract Manager – Offshore Wind Project
Location: London Hub (with international mobility for short and long-term assignments)
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support a major offshore wind project in the North Sea. This role involves overseeing contract management activities, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and leading negotiations with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contract Review & Drafting: Prepare, review, and qualify various contract types, including EPC, procurement, transportation, and installation agreements, as well as confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
* Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Advise management on contractual risks and propose mitigation strategies.
* Negotiation & Client Interface: Lead contract negotiations with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with company policies.
* Project & Procurement Support: Collaborate with project management on claims, contract strategies, and variation orders; support procurement in subcontract and purchase order reviews.
* Legal & Compliance Oversight: Conduct legal research on industry-specific case law and maintain knowledge of standard contracts (FIDIC, LOGIC, BIMCO, IOCs).
* Stakeholder Reporting: Regularly update management on contract management activities and legal matters.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
* Strong knowledge and experience in English Law
* Proven expertise in offshore wind and offshore construction contracts
* Experience in tendering, contract administration, and high-stakes negotiation
* Excellent written, verbal, and influencing communication skills
* Strong commercial awareness, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Leadership and teamwork skills to foster collaboration across functions
* International mobility for short-term travel and long-term assignments
