Audio Visual Installation/Service Engineer\nLocation: South West London\n\nWe are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, an Audio Visual Installation/Service Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to work with a leading company in the audio and audio-visual sector.\n\nRole Purpose:\nThe successful candidate will provide first-class installation and service cover across the Birmingham area. You will ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, adhering to work instructions and site requirements.
From diagnosing and resolving system faults to delivering outstanding installation and service support, this role is integral to ensuring client satisfaction and project success.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nUndertake sound system installations and service calls, working alone or as part of a team.\nAccurately diagnose faults in audio and audio-visual systems, providing recommendations or escalating as necessary.\nReport any site issues promptly to the Operations Team or Project Manager.\nComplete all paperwork accurately, including marking up plans and timely submission to the office.\nMaintain stock levels and equipment for the company vehicle.\nDeliver equipment to site and support other engineers as required.\nAdhere to all health and safety protocols, including completing relevant documentation.\nAct as a lead engineer on installations when required, supporting less experienced colleagues in their development.\nUndertake vehicle checks and ensure the safe transport of equipment.Person Specification:\n\n2-3 years' experience in audio and audio-visual installation, ideally in a commercial environment.\nFull driving licence (held for at least 5 years preferred).\nComfortable working at height and in physically demanding environments.\nProfessional, reliable, and flexible, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.\nExperience working on construction sites and familiarity with power tools/hand tools.\nFlexible with working hours, including early mornings, late evenings, or overnight shifts.\nWillingness to travel and work away from home as required.Desirable Qualifications:\n\nCSCS/ECS Card and Asbestos Awareness (training can be provided).\nIPAF/PASMA and Working at Height qualifications (training available).Skills Required:\n\nExcellent fault-finding, troubleshooting, and maintenance/repair skills for audio-visual systems.\nStrong organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise tasks effectively.\nAbility to interpret and mark up site drawings accurately.\nAttention to detail and a methodical, neat approach to work.\nGood geographical knowledge of the UK.\nSelf-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Benefits:\n\nWorking Hours: 48 hours per week (Monday to Friday).\nSalary: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum\nHolidays: 25 days per year plus bank holidays, with an additional day off for your birthday.\nDeath in Service: 3x basic salary.\nPension: Group pension scheme.Post-Probation Benefits:\n\nCash plan.\nGroup bonus scheme.\nOption to buy or sell up to 5 days of holiday.INDAV\n\nHow to Apply: Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV and a cover letter detailing their relevant experience and qualifications to (url removed) or you can call on (phone number removed) # 207.\n\nAlecto Recruitment Limited UK is acting as an employment business for this vacancy.\n\nWe thank all applicants who respond, but only those shortlisted will be contacted.\n\nKeywords:\nSenior AV Engineer, AV Installer, Audio Visual Engineer, Smart Home Engineer, Control4 Programmer, Crestron Programmer, Lutron Programmer, Networking Specialist, IP Network Engineer, Home Automation, Super-Prime Residential AV, AV Project Manager, High-End AV Engineer
