We have good links with the Clinical Psychology Doctorate course at Staffordshire University and we support a number of trainees, including clinical psychology trainees, in our team. The post holder will be able to access additional supervisor training dependent on their stage of professional development and need. The successful candidate will be required to work in a range of settings, usually a clinic setting, as well as occasionally in other locations as needed. As such, the ability to travel across the South Stoke locality will be important. We are open to discussions around flexible working and part-time positions, and our CAMHS team currently makes use of hybrid (digital/remote) working where this is of benefit. You will contribute to the service by providing specialist psychological knowledge of assessment, formulation, intervention using evidence-based psychological therapies (individual/group) to support our assessment and treatment pathways, evaluation, as well as provide supervision and consultation to other staff as appropriate. Accountable for own professional practice in the delivery of highly specialist psychological care to clients with highly complex and contentious mental health conditions or learning disabilities which include challenging behaviours and possible risk of physical aggression.
