Since establishing around 20 years ago, our client has developed a dedicated team of around 30 employees spread across their 2 offices. The team is built up from a variety of talented town planners, urban designers and landscape architects, who work in a variety of sectors including multi-million pound Residential, Education, Heritage and Commercial projects.
Assistant Town Planner Salary & Benefits
* Competitive salary, ranging from £25,000 to £30,000 depending on experience

Assistant Town Planner Job Overview
* Assisting in the preparation and submission of planning applications, appeals and pre-application enquiries
* Attending regular community engagement, committee meetings and public examinations
* Conducting research and feeding into planning appraisals to establish the development potential of sites
* Researching planning policies to guide developments
* Writing high quality reports with recommendations
* Communicating with all stakeholders involved in the planning process
* Attending site visits and client meetings
Assistant Town Planner Job Requirements
* Degree qualified within a relevant subject
* Working towards Chartership with the RTPI or ambition to do so
* 1 year of experience within the industry
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Ability to manage workload and time frames
* Experience working for a consultancy
