We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join the Team at our Coleraine site which sits on the banks of the river Bann and has four plants located within its grounds. Kerry Coleraine has a long history of producing high quality dairy products since the 1940s, today the site supply’s a range of cheese slices to both the food service industry and to all major UK and Ireland supermarkets. Along with these traditional business avenues there is also a child’s yogurt plant and a newly commissioned appetiser plant which is a part of the continued innovation and development which Kerry is famous for.
This key position provides leadership and direction to the engineering maintenance department. The core focus for this role is to ensure equipment and facilities maintenance is completed to a high standard ensuring machine availability is maximised and all compliance standards are met at all times.

What will I be doing?
1. Responsible for management and delivery of the weekly Maintenance works schedule and any urgent work that arises.
2. Accountable for delivering the site maintenance asset care programme. Ensuring its effectiveness and efficient delivery measured using standard KAMS KPIs.
3. Apply technical skills and ingenuity to the correction of equipment problems causing excessive production downtime and maintenance work as necessary.
4. Develop a plan and timeline to eliminate emergency repair work and maximize planned and project work.
5. Building effective teams, promoting empowered high performing employees, and continually nurturing our internal talent.
6. Oversee the spare parts inventory holding ensuring it optimised to minimize equipment downtime at minimum inventory levels.
7. Manage the maintenance department budget to detail spending by category and maximize expenditure effectiveness for minimum unplanned production downtime and maximum workplace efficiency.
8. Manage an updated maintenance library, consisting of plant drawings, equipment manuals, software program backups, regulatory and compliance files for all primary production and support equipment.
What do I need to bring to the role?
Essential
9. Electrical or mechanical relevant trade qualification, diploma, or degree.
10. Proven experience in a similar role
11. Solid supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
12. Excellent troubleshooting ability
13. Proven track record building solid working relationships
14. Knowledgeable in Maintenance best practice and CMMS systems to assist in delivering same.
15. Strong computer skills in Microsoft programs Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Good technical analysis ability and proficient in report writings. Fully proficient in interpreting CAD drawings, for electrical, mechanical and facilities applications.
16. Fluent in English and local relevant language
