An opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer is available with my client who are leading manufacturer of process plant and material handling solutions. Their ideal candidate will have proven 3D CAD design experience using Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks to produce 3D models, mechanical component and assembly drawings.
Mechanical Design Engineer role:
Working as the Mechanical Design Engineer you will report to and work alongside the Project Lead and Design Manager to assist in the design of bespoke and standard process and material handling lines and associated equipment. This will include - mechanical component drawings, mechanical assembly drawings, structural steelwork drawings, 3D models, bills of materials, and site surveys
Mechanical Design Engineer requirements:
Educated to HNC level or above in a Mechanical Engineering discipline or similar
Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks 3D CAD packages
Mechanical engineering knowledge
Structural engineering knowledge
Knowledge of manufacturing processes
Microsoft Office
Hydraulics and pneumatics system design (advantageous)
Machinery design (advantageous)
Material and mechanical handling (advantageous)
Fluid system design (advantageous)
Civil engineering (advantageous)
FEA and Hand calcs (advantageous)
Mechanical Design Engineer package:
Salary £28k - £35k DOE
