Responsibilities:
1. Managing the commercial team across all contracts.
2. Dealing with all contract issues of a commercial nature.
3. Procurement of kit-erect subcontractors and the issue of subcontract documentation, with ongoing assessment to ensure cost efficiency.
4. Managing, overseeing, processing, and issuing regular subcontract payments.
5. Managing, overseeing, compiling, negotiating, and agreeing final accounts with main contractors and subcontractors.
6. Re-measurement of value-related items, where necessary.
7. Maintenance of all files and records relating to contracts and the issue of project documentation to contracts managers or supervisors as required.
8. Assisting the commercial team, contract managers, and supervisors with site-related commercial issues from main contractors and subcontractors.
9. Attending pre-award meetings, where required.
10. Assisting with the compilation of Health and Safety documentation relating to subcontractors.
11. Managing and overseeing retention recovery from clients and main contractors.
12. Managing and overseeing CVR monitoring and interfacing with all other parts of the business (i.e., estimating, procurement, design, production, supervision, etc.).
13. Regularly updating the Financial Director regarding any commercial issues that may influence the financial position of contracts.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Previous experience of managing a team.
2. Previous experience working in a sub-contractor environment is preferred.
3. Experience in the timber frame industry is desirable but not essential.
4. Proficient in MS Office.
